As this new year leaps forward, I yearn to jump boldly into what lies ahead. But there are still green and red ribbons to tuck away in box after box to stack high. My arms are weary. The momentum of the seasonal anticipation has halted. And the toasty holiday flame within me now has cooled embers. Without a match to rekindle. Definitely not the way to begin a new year.
Because I have become ill. But not with need of a box of tissues or cough syrup. Instead, I am overtaken by a condition of nerves and spasms that rudely grab my strength and crash into my sleep.
The result is a brain fog of all brain fogs.
But not to worry.
Last night I was able to pass go on the game board and collect two hundred dollars.
Rosy cheeks are beginning to come back!
See you in Feb with a new and improved self and blog.
